Abstract

The primary objectives of examination of offshore installations are to ensure structural integrity of the installations in order to maintain continous production of oil/gas and to evaluate the safety of the installations. The philosophy behind this is:

  • protection of human life;

  • assurance of continuous economic production;

  • protection of the environment;

  • protection of investments.
