Summary
The Trichoptera of Sulawesi, New Guinea and Cape York Peninsula of North Eastern Australia are characterised and compared. Of the total of about 80 genera recognised, only about 20% (17) were found common to all three areas. On the species level only a few are common to these areas. The main differences between the Australian and Oriental caddis-fly species occur along the Weber’s Line.
