Abstract

Two species of Cladocera new to the fauna of Roumania are discussed: Scapholeberis erinaceus Daday, 1903 (synonymy, description of a pathenogenetic female of Roumania) and Ilyocryptus alexandrinae sp. nov. (diagnosis, description of parthenogenetic and ephippial females, differential diagnosis). The geographic distribution and ecology of these two rare Cladoeera are also considered.
