Response Characteristics of Two Tropical River Basins

  • Chapter
Flood Hydrology

Abstract

In this paper, we extend our method (Hino and Hasebe, 1979, 1981) of hydrologic inverse detection originally for runoff data analysis to the hydrologic basin in tropical zone.

Applications of this method (Filter Separation Autoregressive Model Method) have been carried out on the daily hydrologic data of watershed of the Quai yai River with a drainage area of A = 10800 km2 in Thailand and watershed of the Pampanga river with a drainage area of A = 7850 km2 in Philippines.
