Instrumentation in Solar Energy Applications
Solar thermal systems are becoming widely popular and efficient in low temperature and medium temperature applications such as solar water heating, industrial process steam and power generation. These systems are to be designed for efficient functioning during their operation under varying conditions of solar radiation, weather, day and night times. Reliability of the system performance, dependability of the operation and automatic control of the system are the desirable characteristics of any system. The instrumentation and control systems play an important role in realizing these features.
