New Results on the Analysis and Optimization of A k-Out-of-n:F System with Repair

Abstract

In this paper we review some of the recent results on the reliability of the linearly ordered consecutive-k-out-of-n:F systems. We also examine repairable systems of this type and propose new models for their static and dynamic optimization. Potential applications are also discussed.
