Near-Infrared Photometry of Iras Planetary Nebulae

Planetary and Proto-Planetary Nebulae: From IRAS to ISO

Abstract

We present J, H, K, L photometry of a large sample (117) of objects classifed as planetary nebulae in the Perek - Kohoutec catalogue. According to the position of the sources in the near-IR colour-colour diagrams, we classify them in three classes: N (30%), D (13%), and S (57%). The energy distribution from 1 to 100μm is used to clarify the nature of S-type sources.

Based on observations collected at the European Southern Observatory (La Silla, Chile) and at the Italian Infrared Telescope (TIRGO).
