Part of the book series: Theory and Decision Library ((TDLB,volume 4))

Abstract

Inequality relations between resources, represented by fuzzy numbers, are investigated in the first part of this paper. The concept of an R-relation and L-relation is introduced. An optimal allocation problem with fuzzy parameters is then stated and by the use of the extension principle a fuzzy optimal solution is defined and investigated. For trapezoidal fuzzy numbers the problem can be transformed into a linear programming one as is demonstrated on a simple example.
