Abstract

An overview of the fundamental properties and methods used for the determination of transport numbers in molten salts is presented with special emphasis on the room temperature haloaluminate ionic liquids, aluminum chloride-l-methyl-3-ethylimidazolium chloride and aluminum bromide-l-methyl-3-ethylimidazolium bromide.
