Abstract

Molecular material is found in differing regions in our galaxy. We attempt here to give a summary of the observationaIIy determined properties of molecular clouds. Some of the most important methods of obtaining information on physical conditions within these regions are reviewed, and a summary of different types of molecular regions is presented.
