Abstract
The excited state structure and dynamics of predissociative electronic states of model three and four atom molecules, namely CS2, OCS and NH3, is discussed. Experimental investigations rely on jet cooled absorption spectroscopy. The data is used in conjunction with results of theoretical calculations to model the excited electronic surface and open the way for exploration of reaction dynamics.
