Abstract
General relativity, Einstein’s 1916 theory of gravitation, today is a world in itself, as anyone can see by perusing, for example, the authoritative treatise by Misner et al. (1970). So just a short chapter at the end of my small book certainly cannot do justice to the subject. Its very brevity testifies that I am no expert in the field, having almost never contributed to it, so that I can make only few personal remarks. However, it so happens that sometimes an outsider’s remarks may make sense.
