Abstract
High resolution laser fluorescence spectroscopy is used to demonstrate the existence of novel transiently bound species formed from excited alkali diatomics and rare gases. The spectro- scopic and dynamical behaviour of this species allow us to infer a structure and it is clear that the intramolecular dynamics of this species follow a mode-specific pattern.
