Hydrogen Induced Fracture

  • Chapter
Chemistry and Physics of Fracture

Part of the book series: NATO ASI Series ((NSSE,volume 130))

Abstract

The phenomenology and mechanisms of hydrogen-induced fracture in metals and alloys are briefly reviewed. As a stimulus for the workshop sessions, key unresolved issues are identified for each form of fracture that is discussed.
