Abstract
Fly ash (Pulverized Fuel Ash), a fine powder, is the residual product of the pulverized coal burnt in the furnaces of modern electricity power stations. It constitutes the very finely grained matter that escapes the combustion chamber with the flue gases (photograph 1).
