Abstract

Methods for estimating global and diffuse insolation together with global radiation tilt models are briefly reviewed and discussed. Time dependence of solar radiation and the concept of utilizability is described followed by an extensive review of the utilizatibility method as applied to predicting long term average performance of solar collectors.
