Summary
Multimode fibers interconnect two Michelson interferometers, white light source and detector. The mirror position of the transmitting interferometer is reconstructed and measured in the receiving interferometer by periodically scanning through three “white-light” fringes (laser reference, 22mm measuring range, 0.00001mm resolution).
