Abstract
In this lecture, the field of photon correlation spectroscopy is first surveyed in a tutorial fashion. Then the basic theorems by Wiener and Khintchine, by Siegert and by Mandel are reviewed. Some care is taken to describe the function of electronic digital real-time correlators and to show the recent progress in correlator design. Finally the photon correlation experiment is treated and the practical problems of polydispersity analysis are mentioned.
