Abstract
The importance of blood flow in determining the responses of tumors to hyperthermia cannot be overstated. There are two distinct aspects. Blood flow determines availability of nutrients in the immediate vicinity of tumor cells and also determines the rate at which waste products of cellular metabolism are carried away.
