Abstract
Investigations of rhythmic events in biology and medicine involve the study of individuals. Adequate account of this fact must be taken when planning studies to consider the importance of rhythms, espcially in pharmacology and in therapeutics, so that the rhythmic information can be used to improve the treatment of individuals (Knapp, 1984).
