Abstract
To our knowledge there exist no experimental measurements (in the liquid state) on the electrical resistivity of alloys of rare earth with transition metals. For the pure rare earth metals the experimental data are scarce and sometimes very inconsistent. We present below our measurements on the electrical resistivity of liquid lanthanum, cerium and lanthanum-nickel alloys (up to 50 at % nickel) and of cerium-nickel alloys (up to 55 at % nickel).
