Abstract
At high temperatures the homogeneous, disordered, entropy stabilized structures are favored, such as a liquid alloy with random distribution of atoms. At low temperatures pure crystalline components or highly ordered intermetallic compounds will exist in stable, most frequently, heterogeneous equilibrium. This highly ordered and decomposed state may form during cooling of a liquid from T > Tfα (Fig. 1).
