Fabrication and Mechanical Properties of Hybrid Composites with Braiding Construction

  • Chapter

Abstract

The composite pipe with braided fabric is produced from various types of fibres and combinations of these fibres under various braiding angles. The through-the thickness braided pipe is fabricated. The behaviour of braided pipe under lateral compressive load is investigated in an experimental and theoretical way.

It is made clear that the hybrid construction and through-the-thickness braiding is effective in strengthening the braided pipes. The braiding angle effect is also discussed in this chapter.
