Abstract

Samples of RBSN and HPSN provided by British Companies are characterised in terms of their chemical compositions and microstructures. Details of ceramic machining procedures are given and mechanical properties at ambient and temperatures up to 1500°C measured using Modulus of Rupture and Stepped Temperature Stress Rupture tests.
