Abstract
Indium-1ll can be considered to be the second most important isotope in Nuclear Medicine. It has two gamma photons at energies suitable for scintigraphy, an acceptable patient radiation dose and a half-life of 67 hours which permits imaging at time points later than is possible with shorter lived isotopes such as Tc-99m and I-123.
