The role of electrophysiological studies in the management and therapy of recurrent ventricular tachycardias in patients with ischemic heart disease

  • Chapter
Ventricular Tachycardias

Abstract

Programmed electrical stimulation and endocardial catheter mapping have been widely employed over the last ten years to establish the diagnosis and mechanism of ventricular tachycardia (VT) as well as to determine the potential role of pharmacologic, electric or surgical therapy. The present manuscript will concentrate on the role of electrophysiologic studies for the management of VT.
