Summary
In 105 patients treated by silicone injection combined with pars plana vitrectomy in severe retinal detachment various positions of the retina were sono-graphically examined in the state of clear media. Reproducible phenomenons could be found that revealed the situation of the retina in eyes with opacification of the lens or cornea.
