Automatic Contour Finding and Digital Subtraction Technique in 2-Dimensional Echocardiography

Digital Techniques in Echocardiography

Part of the book series: Developments in Cardiovascular Medicine ((DICM,volume 64))

Abstract

Left ventricular endocardium is the most important cardiac structure to calculate left ventricular function parameters such as volumes, ejection fraction and wall motion. The accurate and reproducible detection of endocardium remains the most crucial and the most important step in the quantitative analysis of 2-D echocardiograms [1–8].
