Summary

From July 1974 to December 1985 868 patients with coronary artery disease underwent surgery at the Cardiosurgical Department of the University of Bologna.

One or two vessels disease was present in 31,8%, three or more vessels disease in the remaining 68,2%.

Early, mortality was 7% and late mortality 5%.

Surgical results are analized in relation to the kind of operation (elective, urgent, emergency), the EF, the LVEDP, the number of distal anastomosis, the type of rivascularization (complete of incomplete) and the ventricular score.
