Glucagon in upper gastrointestinal radiology

Abstract

There have been a great number of reports on the effects of glucagon in gastrointestinal radiology1–6, and as reported by Miller et al.1,2, it is generally accepted that hypotonicity and hypomotility of the upper gastrointestinal (g.i.) tract can be more effectively induced by glucagon than by anticholinergics and that reduction of hydrochloric acid and peptic gastric secretion can also be achieved by glucagon.
