The Criocerinae: Biology, Phylogeny and Evolution

  • Chapter
Biology of Chrysomelidae

Part of the book series: Series Entomologica ((SENT,volume 42))

Abstract

The chrysomelid subfamily Criocerinae contains about 1400 described species which live in the temperate, subtropical and tropical zones of all continents. In current taxonomic systems they are often treated at the beginning, which means that they are considered to be ‘primitive’. The probable phylogenetic relationships are discussed under ‘phylogeny’.
