Abstract
Presented here are the past, present and future programmes of USSR space astronomy. The presently operating missions ASTRON and ROENTGEN are reviewed. Future missions such as GAMMA 1, GRANAT, RELIC-2, SPEC X, RADIOASTRON etc are described. Emphasis is placed on observational astronomy.
