Abstract

The problem of gas side deposition is apparent in a wide range of industries, where particles are carried in a gas stream. The problem can be manifest in dryers, gas lines, reactors, and combustion spaces, as well as heat exchangers involved in gas processing. The examples indicate that the temperature range over which deposition may be encountered is extremely wide, covering temperatures from ambient to well over 1400 K.
