Abstract
The internal oxidation phenomena and oxygen decorated vacancies’ formation in silver nave been investigated since a few years (1,2,3). However, in spite of the phenomenological model presented by Schroeder et al. (4), the mechanism of the 111In-OxVy complexes still needs further confirmation. It was our aim to observe the oxygen agglomeration at 111In in the presence of vacancies in AgCd alloys, comparing two ways of 111In probe atom production — via 109Ag /α,2n/111In and 111Cd /d,2n/ 111In reactions. We report also the preliminary results on the irradiation temperature influence on the formation of the complexes mentioned above. In order to extract the influence of the cadmium presence in silver sample, the same experiments for pure Ag, oxidized, irradiated and annealed in vacuum simultaneously with AgCd alloys were performed.
