Abstract

Identification and structure elucidation of organic compounds is today mostly done with spectroscopic methods, the most often used methods include infrared spectroscopy (IR), mass spectrometry (MS), nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), and spectroscopy in the ultraviolet and visible region of the electromagnetic spectrum (UV).
