Intra-Arterial Cis-Diamminedichloroplatinum-II in Pediatric Osteosarcoma: Relationship of Effect on Primary Tumor to Survival

  • Chapter

Part of the book series: Developments in Oncology ((DION,volume 55))

Abstract

The therapeutic efficacy of intra-arterial cis-Diamminedichloroplatinum-II on the primary tumor was assessed in relationship to survival. Patients with a combined complete and partial response (over 60% necrosis) had a 64% metastases-free survival, and those with no response (under 60% necrosis) a 34% survival.
