Abstract

The primary treatment of female pelvic sarcomas is surgical; the details of surgery are discussed elsewhere. The focus of this report will be on the chemotherapy of gyn sarcomas, and particularly on uterine sarcomas, in regard to both early stage high-risk disease and advanced disease. Some brief comments about pathology, etiology, staging and other modes of treatment are also included for comparison and contrast with the general group of soft tissue sarcomas.
