Abstract

In a model system of isoelectronic impurities we review experiments on impurity-impurity interaction and give an interpretation of the experimental data. Two general results emerge: It seems to be possible under favourable conditions to propose a detailed analysis of the width of the bound exciton zero phonon recombination transition. Furthermore our data indicates that in systems of bound excitons with large Bohr radius the interaction between bound excitons is completely screened at least up to a concentration of 1018 cm -3 of isoelectronic impurities.
