Abstract
Recently, there has been considerable progress in developing solution algorithms for transportation network equilibrium models within the nonlinear framework. In this chapter, an efficient algorithm for solving the model introduced in Chapter 5 is developed by combining Evans’(1976)[49] algorithm for solving the network equilibrium transportation demand with Powell’s (1970)[124] hybrid numerical method for solving equilibrium land uses.1
