Abstract

The central concepts of this last chapter are flat modules and amenable algebras. The following “ratio” may indicate their place among other homological concepts:

$$ \frac{{Ext}}{{Tor}} = \frac{{projective module}}{{flat module}} = \frac{{algebra of bidimension zero}}{{amenable algebra}} $$
