Abstract
Many important topics were discussed at the workshop on “Causes and effects of earthquakes at passive margins and in areas with postglacial rebound on both sides of the North Atlantic”. And many topics are discussed in this volume of resulting papers. Each of the papers contains results and recommendations worth considering, and the collection of papers and the authors’ arguments on the theme of the workshop are one basic and very important outcome. Another important outcome was the discussions, formal as well as informal. From these we have extracted the following general conclusions and recommendations.
