The Swedish Tradition: Wicksell and Cassel

  • Chapter
Neoclassical Economic Theory, 1870 to 1930

Part of the book series: Recent Economic Thought Series ((RETH,volume 20))

Abstract

This chapter analyzes the interpretation of Wicksell’s and Cassel’s contribution to economic analysis after Schumpeter’s evaluation in History of Economic Analysis. Wicksell has been given much more space than Cassel since the former is still post-Schumpeter considered to be the more important of the two.
