Abstract
Recently networks have been synthesised which have rigid chains and rigid crosslink points, and their elastic properties have been measured. An interesting question to address when constructing models for the elasticity of these networks is: to what length scale may the deformation be considered to be affine with the bulk deformation? We investigate the conditions which give rise to the existence of such a finite length scale.
