Subsea Work Environment for Submersibles

  • Chapter
Ocean Resources

Abstract

The manned deep sea submersibles CYANA and NAUTILE are used increasingly as subsea work systems. This paper presents the components of the subsea work environment of these vehicles:

  • Telemanipulators and stocking

  • Interfaces

  • Tool and instrument panoply

  • Shuttles

An example of the installation of a subsea laboratory will be given.

The aim of future developments in telemanipulation will follow thereafter.
