Abstract
The calculations and experiments discussed in this paper were sponsored by the Royal Dutch Navy in order to verify the Underwater Shock Analysis (USA) Code together with the Finite Element Program ASKA. With this code it is possible to calculate the response of a structure on an underwater shock. The finite element program determines the stresses arising during the shock, to approximate the possible damage to the structure.
