Abstract

Konopka (1988e) has pointed out that there is an apparent conflict between management control systems and the manifestation of innovative behaviour in organisations. He has attributed this apparent paradox to the dual theoretical problem of a lack of tolerance for intellectual virtue and a lack of moral virtue (which virtue breeds trust); this problem is related to alienation.1
