The leading question in this monograph has been the definition and differentiation in child language of the domains within which Principles of Binding A and B operate. Attention was focused on two cases of anaphora in Spanish which, due to their marked nature, would represent a problem for children who are guided by the Principles of Binding in solving the problem of anaphora for their language. The question has been formulated theoretically and tested experimentally leading to the results summarized in the following sections.
