Abstract

Highly purified MHC class II positive epithelial cells (EC) from murine small intestine were able to present a soluble antigen (KLH) to a specific class II-restricted CD4 + T cell hybridoma and to induce IL-2 secretion. Antigen presentation in this model was restricted to the H-2 haplotype and could be fully inhibited by anti-la antibodies.
