Abstract

Antibodies against P. aeruginosa can be detected by a variety of immunological methods, including agar-gel immunodiffusion or conventional immunoelectrophoresis (Burns and May, 1968; Crowder and White, 1970; Young et al., 1970), agglutination and complement fixation techniques (Høiby, 1979), radioimmunoassay (Klinger et al., 1978; Döring and Høiby, 1983), enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (Brett et al., 1986; Pedersen et al., 1987a) and immunoblotting (Matthews et al., 1986).
