Abstract

Chemical weapons were used on the territory of Poland during World War I and were produced on a large scale (on the present-day territory of Poland) by Germany during World War II. Also, in the Second Republic of Poland (1918–1939), research works were conducted and a small amount of chemical warfare agents was produced within the framework of preparation for a chemical defence.
